Michelle Corbin of IBM USA and I presented a joint lecture at this year's annual Society for Technical Communication international summit, entitled "Editing Modular Documentation: Some Best Practices".
This presentation was the culmination of half a year of intense professional collaboration between us, and leveraged both companies' knowledge and resources in the field of high-quality, user-centered technical documentation.
The feedback from the convention was excellent, with many attendees saying that it was one of the best and most informative presentations given that year. In fact, after the convention, a number of very positive online reviews were written about the presentation.
The article has since been copied to the User Assistance Professionals website as a featured article (http://www.writersua.com/articles/modular/index.html).
I think the Israel TC community might get a lot of benefit from this article, and I look forward to hearing your feedback!

Yoel,
Thanks so much for posting this article link to our site.
I thing that your written version displays your message
perhaps even powerfully than your presentation did.
As someone who has been working with technical manuals
and involved in technical training for nearly 18 years, "chunking"
is my default mode of thinking. But for people new to the idea,
your presentation is a very clear, concise, and well demonstrated example.
Have you considered presenting this material here in Israel,
perhaps at the Techshoret conference?
Thanks again for visiting.
Regards,
Shira
