Grant writing workshop

GRANTWRITING AND WORKING WITH FOUNDATIONS! Training Course led by David Maeir Epstein, MSSA Tel Aviv Starting March 3rd To sign up for this course please email degrants@gmail.com The grantwriting course focuses on the teaching of the following essential skills: how to write grant proposals, how to identify and work with foundations, and how to gain employment as salaried staff or freelancers. While the course does not promise employment, graduates are provided with information about the many openings in the field of grantwriting in Israel. Many graduates have subsequently entered the field or advanced their position. Course Description: The course consists of three meetings of four hours. Each meeting will be divided between lecture and hands-on grantwriting workshops, with each session dealing with a different aspect of grantwriting. Participants will be assisted with the writing of different parts of a grant proposal, and homework from each session will be reviewed in the following class. The first three meetings will take place every other week to give participants the opportunity to write, revise and to read pertinent articles and materials. The course is conducted in English, with Hebrew terms for key words. The course is appropriate as well for Hebrew speakers who understand English, but need to speak in Hebrew. Upon finishing the course graduates receive diplomas certifying their participation in the course. Cost: 1,250 NIS (including VAT and study materials) for the general public. *There is an early-bird discount of 50 NIS for those who register and pay for the course in full by February 20th. Members of Nefesh B'Nefesh, SAZF, the Yokneam Forum of Technical Writers (Elephant), AACI and the UJIA receive an additional 50 NIS discount. A 75 NIS discount is offered to previous graduates of our fundraising course Venue: The course will take place in three sessions from 4.00-8.00pm on Tuesday evenings on the following dates: March 3, March 17, and March 24 2009.
