* Israeli FM User group is expanding its activities to Adobe Tech Comm Suite tools

FrameMaker is part of the Technical Communication Suite (TCS), a complete toolset for authoring, managing, reviewing, and publishing technical communication and interactive eLearning content. In addition to FrameMaker, the suite includes Captivate, RoboHelp, Photoshop, Acrobat, Presenter and 3D Reviewer.

It is time to expand the scope of the FrameMaker User Group*, and starting with the upcoming meeting, topics will cover all tools in the suite.

I would like to invite users of any of the above tools to join the TechComm_Israel group, to attend presentations (focusing on features, techniques, case studies etc.) and to offer the benefit of their experience to the entire group. To join the group, please write to TechComm_Israel@microtype.com

The next user group meeting is currently being planned and is tentatively scheduled to be held in the second half of December 2010.
Please contact me if you would like to offer a presentation on any of the TCS tools, or on projects that combine the different tools.
Also, please let me know if your company can host a meeting (30-40 seats).

Notes:
-- Group meetings are hosted by companies and are free of charge
-- The user group is independent of Adobe, its resellers, or other technical communication forums/groups in Israel
-- The mailing list for the group was set as an announcement list, as there are already several global discussion lists and web forums
-- After joining, group members can use the "Polls" feature to register for a meeting
-- Although the focus is on old-fashion "face-to-face" meetings/networking, when possible meetings are webcast to enable people who live far from the center to attend

The FrameMaker User group was started in 2002, has over 250 members, and has held close to 30 meetings focusing on different aspects of FrameMaker (most meetings took place in the central region, with a few in Haifa/Yokneam and Yavne/Rechovot).
