Posting to Writers for Hire

You must be a member to post to "Writers for Hire". This means agreeing to abide by the Code of Ethics and paying membership dues. For details go to elephant.org.il/join_now .

Short movie describing how a member posts to "Writers for Hire" ... 

1 . Login and go to www.elephant.org.il/available_writers .

2. Mouseover your name in the upper left corner and select New in/available_writers.

3. Place your name in the Subject field. This is what will appear under "Writers for Hire".

4. Put information on your availability, a short bio, or anything else that you want a potential client to see. Don't forget contact information!

Create the post.

• If you are pasting from MS Word you should use the W-clipboard tool (4th icon from top left). If you need to paste Hebrew text then you should paste directly without the W-clipboard tool.
• If you want to include a photo you can use the tree tool to upload it. Do NOT upload large graphics ! Reduce its file size before uploading. You can use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to crop and reduce pictures.
• Use the chain link tool if you want to upload your resume/CV or add a link to your personal web site.
  
• If you want a short excerpt at the start of your post to appear on the "Writer for Hire" page along with your name (if a user clicks the Writers for Hire link instead of your name), place the cursor at the end of your excerpt and click the more button (8th icon from the top left).
  

5. Click Save when you are done. Your post exists, but is not yet live.

6. Click set publishing dates and enter today's date and an Un-publish date then click the Publish in the future button.

Note: The elephant.org.il server is in Boston, so your post may publish 7 hours later than you expect.

7. Once it is live - go to the page and add it to your favorites (Internet Explorer) or bookmarks (FireFox). That way you can find it after the un-publish date and republish if necessary.
