Salary/Rate Survey FAQ

Q. How can I get access to the detailed reports?

A. You must participate in the relevant survey and have a participant subscription for 2010 or purchase a nonparticipant subscription. Elephant membership includes a participant subscription.

Q. I am a member of elephant, but didn't participate in the salary/rate surveys, can I get access to the detailed reports for free?

A. No. Membership includes a participant subscription, but you must participate to use that benefit.

Q. When can I participate?

A. During the first 15 days of every quarter (except April 1). Reporting periods are:

  • Jan. 1 -15
  • April 2-16
  • July 1-15
  • October 1-15.

Q. I can't find the update form?

A. It was moved to the User Profile to make easier and more secure. Just login and click "Edit profile" where the login box was. You will see tabs for each of the surveys.

Q. When the reports be ready?

A. They should be ready by the the 15th of Feb., May, Aug., Sept.

Q. When I pay for access via PayPal do I get access right away?

A. No. The process is manual which means that it make take place later in the day when a web admin is online.  

Q. What if I report today, then get a raise on tomorrow?

A. Report again. The old data will be archived and replaced by the new data.   

Q. What will happen after the first 2 weeks of the quarter?

A. On the 15th of Jan., April, July and Oct. I will freeze and analyze the data. On the 15th of the next month I will release a report of composite data with breakdowns and trends based on a comparison with the previous quarters. Even if your salary/rates have not changed, it is important that you report each quarter.  

Q. If I lose my job and am unemployed during the first two weeks of a quarter will I also lose my free access to the quarterly reports?

A. No. Repeat participants can report that they are "between jobs" or "no billable hours". This option is not available to first time participants. New immigrant subscribers and members (and those intending to make Aliya) should use the Contact Us form to request an exception.
