How do you negotiate a contract; what should be in a contract; payment in dollars or shekels?

COandPI  - Copyeditors and Proofreaders Israel will meet on May 27 (Tel-Aviv) and 30 (Jerusalem) at 7:30 PM to discuss "How do you negotiate a contract; what should be in a contract; payment in dollars or shekels?" and "How would different editors edit the same material?"

Sunday, May 27, 7.30pm (central Israel)

Corner of Brenner St. and Ostrovsky St.

Tel: 09-748 0165, 054-6362880

Wednesday, May 30, 7.30pm (Jerusalem)

Home of Charmaine Gruber
Tchernikovsky 78/10, 3rd floor
San Simon, sometimes called Rasco
On the corner of Rehov Shimoni (even tho' taxi drivers insist the two streets don’t meet)
Tel: 679-2745, 054-7486-422

Directions:
At Tchernichovsky #44 (the first set of traffic lights from Herzog) turn right; follow the road until at #58, where Tchernikovsky meets Rehov Katznelson. Do not go there! Keep to the right - that is the last stretch of Tchernikovsky. Go to #74, then look on the other side of the road, round a bend. We are a lone building after it seems that there are no more buildings, before the corner of Shimoni.

Buses:
No. 22 from Jaffa Road, near Kikar Zion; get off at the last stop on Tchernikovsky, where it meets Katznelson, and follow the road to the right. (See above.)

No. 6 from Central Bus Station via Rehov Herzl; get off at the last stop on Rehov Shahal, Givat Mordecai. Ask the driver for the stop of the Mechabei Aish, the Fire Station, which is also the site of the sculpture of stairs going up to heaven. Cross Rehov Herzog and climb the 90 stairs to the corner of Rehov Shimoni, to your left. Go up the hill (only a few buildings). Soon on your left you will see a building on a corner. That’s 78 Tchernikovsky.

Agenda:

  • How do you negotiate a contract; what should be in a contract; payment in dollars or shekels?
  • How would different editors edit the same material? An exercise for the group
  • General discussion
