This report is based on input from 32 freelance technical/marcom writers and documentation managers. An additional 4 participants reported no billable hours as freelance writers during the entire quarter, each for different reasons; one also works full-time, another does other work in the same technical area but no writing this quarter, and 2 were without work.
All rates are those actually charged, not asking rates. This quarter technical and marcom writers moved en-masse from $USD to NIS as their main currency for rates. The easiest way to deal with this phenomen was to create 2 parallel reports, one with all rates converted to $USD and the other with all rates converted to NIS.
